Information for Citizens of India

The Right to Information Act 2005 came into force for its enactment from 12^th October 2005 to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority in India. Under the act we are committed to provide following information on this website to every citizen of India. Please follow the links below if you have an interest in obtaining requisite information.

1.    The particulars of the organization, functions and duties;

2.    The powers and duties of its officers and employees;

3.    The procedure followed in its decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability

4.    The norms set out by it for the discharge of its functions;

5.    The rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharging its functions;

6.    A statement of the categories of the documents held by it or under its control;

i.     Research: Research proposals, proceedings of the various committees like Quinquenniel Review Team Meeting, Research Advisory Committee Meetings, Staff Research Council Meetings, Research papers and other technical  publications.

ii.    Administration: Service books, Personal files of the employees, Dead Stock Registers, Records pertaining to purchase of all the items, Correspondence with the headquarters and other sister organizations, Reports sent to ICAR.

7.    Information regarding any arrangement that exists for consultation or representation, by members of the public, in relation to the formulation of policy or implementation;

The Institute follows the policy formed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.

8.   A statement of the boards, councils, committees and other bodies consisting of two or more persons constituted as its part or for the purpose of its advice, and as to whether meetings of those boards, councils, committees and other bodies are open to the public, or the minutes of such meetings are accessible for public;

9.    A directory of its officers and employees;

10.  The monthly remuneration received by each of its officers and employees, including the system of compensation as provided in its regulations;

11.  The budget allocated to each of its agency, indicating the particulars of all plans, proposed expenditures and reports on disbursements made;

For obtaining technical information a technical cell is functional on all the working days. Also there is a Public Relation Officer who facilitates the interaction of grape growers with the concerned scientists.

Library although not for public use, however, students, researchers and grape growers are allowed to use the library for reference work on all working days.
