Management of mites
Duration:
April 2008 to October 2011
Highlights:
Different grape growing areas like Narayangaon, Palshi, Tasgaon, Khanpura. Subhash Nagar etc are surveyed for knowing the mites incidence and their natural enemies. The red spidermite population was low (@ 1-2 mites/leaf) and stable till the month of November and the population is slightly rising (@ 5- 10 mites/leaf) during December especially in some plants. Information required for preparing pest distribution map is initiated by distributing performa to farmers for knowing pest distribution in various grape growing areas. Testing of botanicals and new molecules is under progress..
